Holy crap its been forever since i posted I’ve been so busy with finals and such. Here is a great image from a t-shirt my friend Emily found. I think its pretty fun. Inspriring too.
So I watched Requiem for a Dream last night.
It was my first time seeing it.
Depressing yes.
Disgusting yes.
Dirty yes.
I think it was a good film aesthetically but I did not enjoy it emotionally. I am hoping to type my class paper for Popular film on this one because of its excellent cultural messages relating to American culture and our constant “need-it-now” attitude or the “quick-fix” pill.
The addiction problems faced are a huge problem in our culture and this movie really shows the grit of it. There’s more to the movie than just addiction though.
It brings up ideas of family issues with Harry’s broken family. The viewer is never even introduced to Marion’s family at all, which clearly is a sign of her relationship with them. Tyrone is constantly haunted by flashbacks of his childhood and mother.

time. It’s been a bit of a lengthy span since I last wrote on this one. This site needs to be looked at for starters. It’s a college in Ontario that did a collaborative class project. You’ll see the idea when you check it out. Some of the images are very well done and are very interesting/ provoking of my brains thought ideas. This one here, compliments of PAUL DALLAS. He’s good.

SO here is my first official Tumble post. My face is not apparent in my picture but its ok because my new shoes makeup for that. feast your eyes. I hope to get this thing up and running decently in the next couple weeks or so. Especially since fall break is upon us and I will not be doing anything school related over the next 4 days.

I decided to begin focusing more on watching television this semester and fitting it into my schedule because I feel it always helps to follow along with some one else’s life struggles and happenings when you just need to take a break from the toils of life.
or maybe I just like to watch and have something good to talk about the next day lol.
Sunny is the greatest show. I am disappointed with myself for not getting into it the past couple years oh well.
Does anyone have an opinion on that new Vampire Diaries show. Its a bit random and definitely taking a dip in the recent vampire fads taking over teenage scene these days. I watched it last week it was a little confusing without knowing the characters but you catch on.
